Summary
After Cloud goes missing after giving the Black Materia to Sephiroth, the group fears the only way to get him back is to team up with Professor Hojo. Besieged by nightmares of the time he'd spent possessed by the shade of Nidhogg's wrath, Estinien goes on a pilgrimage not for remembrance but to try to retain possession of himself from the remnants of the Dread Worm what whispers through his dreams. Exhausted and at the end of his strength, Estinien shelters from a winter storm, determined that he will freeze to death before he surrenders, but is met by the spirit of a trusted comrade. Perhaps Hydaelyn is not finished with the Azure Dragoon after all.
