    500 years in the future, after many social economic and political changes to the Mushroom kingdom, the world has modernised. Long past are the days when Kings and Queens ruled.

    Marillia, a woman who is working on her doctoral thesis about the history of the monarchy of the Kingdom, buys tickets to a ghost hunting tour run just four times a year in the old Mushroom palace that sits high above the capitol city. She is fascinated by the history of one monarch, one man who she has researched extensively, who is said to haunt the palace to this day.

    When she finds that the stories are truer than she ever bargained for she makes an unlikely new friend and first hand source of information for her research. However, this friendship may mean more than she is ready for as she learns who he was and still is, long past his own time and age.
