Summary
As the Pevensies step into their roles as rulers once more, Edmund feels the weight of a question that unsettles him at the marrow.
He can’t figure out what to make of Caspian’s lingering gaze—so steady, so unspoken.
Is it respect for a fellow monarch?
Is it gratitude for the peace they’ve helped forge?
Perhaps it’s something deeper.
Could it be… love?
Of course that’s absurd.
King Edmund, strategist and diplomat, knows who he is—not someone Caspian would desire.
And yet, in the quiet of that first banquet, the thought refuses to let go.
