Summary
But the ever more solidifying idea of strangling his only son was discouraged from becoming reality only by the annoying yet increasingly worrying detail that there still was no son to strangle in the first place.
Stiles was going to be in so much trouble when he got back.
Or: the aftermath of another fight leaves John with more answers than he asked for.

Bookmarker's Notes
The world building is straightforward, matter of fact, immersive and believable while also flowing easily. The tone is dark and a bit gorey but pleasantly crisp, raw and symbolic. Sterek canon epitome of brutal bluntness, plain but intense romanticism and implicit trust. Their entire love fits nowhere else but inside the hard skin of their cupped hands.

Stiles is glued together wrong. That’s the best that Derek can figure.

Bookmarker's Notes
In this little moment, nothing exists other than them, very romantic and intimate although a bit bittersweet. Delicate and subtle in its simplicity, a good way to glimpse into and understand more the characters' souls. They're not glued wrong, just differently than everyone else, but that actually makes them gravitationally similar to each other. They can be different together.

Summary
Witches are now officially Stiles’ least favorite. They suck. He hates them and their stupid human sacrificial rituals, and their stupid evil knives.
Call him biased because one of said stupid knives is buried to the hilt in his chest, but Stiles doesn’t care. He’s bleeding out, lying in a bed of leaves and rocks, staring up at a canopy of trees and stars. Witches are the worst.

Bookmarker's Notes
Clever and creative approach to time loops. The tone is very informal and casual which goes along with Stiles's stream of consciousness, the locations are pretty clear and atmospheric, the characterization is nice, Stiles is 18 here which would make Derek 21, and there's the right balance between funny and sad.
While mindful of the tags, this is an interesting read to try. -

Summary
Stiles wished for symmetry.
He wished Derek had a window he could just swoop into like Derek had done to him so many times before.

Bookmarker's Notes
In this intimate switched dynamic, the pull between them leaves them vulnerable and high on senses they don't quite understand but actually do, until they surrender to their feelings, delicately.

Summary
“Stiles,” Scott says, but Stiles shushes him, and presses play.
Immediately, voices blare out of the tinny little speakers. The image is blurry at first, like the camera was being waved around, and then it clears up. Filling most of the frame is a table with about a hundred kids around it, all crowding a scrawny boy with jet black hair and a ten thousand watt smile.
Derek, Stiles thinks, although he’s barely recognizable. How could that be Derek Hale?
Or, Stiles finds a box of home videos in the burnt down Hale house. Things get complicated.

Bookmarker's Notes
The developing friendship is so delicate, already becoming a sweet young love but without rushing. The characterization is nice, the writing flows easily but handles the emotional topics well and realistically, makes you realize just how young these boys are and how meaningful and sacred it is that they found each other. Stinging eyes that finally cry and the quiet mess of feeling.
