Summary
When Dumbledore dies going after a cursed ring at the end of Potter's 4th year, the Order is left without a leader - an idol - a symbol of hope and unity. In their infinite wisdom, they decide only Harry Potter - the Boy-Who-Lived - can fill this gap, and he becomes the de facto leader of the Order at fifteen years old.
Faced with the Order's weakened chances without Dumbledore and the sudden ascension of a boy he has spent years despising - the son of his childhood tormentor - Severus Snape must decide whether he can face returning to this new Order at all.

Severus Snape knows what he is. A follower and lieutenant, potions master, dueller and spy. A secret, hidden protector. He's always been all-or-nothing. So now he has to decide if he's in - all in - with Potter at the helm, or if he would be better off abandoning everything he's worked for over the last fifteen years and the promise he made to the grave of the only person he's ever loved to avoid the inevitable.
He already knows what it is to humiliate himself at Voldemort's feet. Surely following - truly following - Potter can't be as bad as all that?
But there's a voice inside that insists it may very well be worse.

Summary
In the year of 286 AC, just before the longest summer arrived, the greatest storm wrecked the lands beyond the wall. Trees broke and fell already frozen, ice was so thick a man could stand in a drilled hole and still not reach the water. The storm lasted three weeks and in its aftermath cities of heat and steel emerged from the snow. The greatest one called itself "New London" - a stronghold of human defiance to the sufferings of winter. Soon free folk take to calling the strange people new Londoners, regardless of which city they came from. After talks in Winterfell, Robert Baratheon was crowned as king of the North Confederation, becoming the King of eight kingdoms.
With a new kingdom beyond the wall, how will the fate of Westeros change? Will the new technology and ideas bring waves of destruction unseen since the doom of Valyria? The war of five kings grows to be even more complicated, with the eighth kingdom looming behind the wall.
Ned Stark is concerned, Varys amused, Tywin more prideful than ever and Lucas of New London and his assistant Ygritte try to survive the games of King's landing. -

Summary
After Tom Riddle nearly murders Ginny, that marks twice that Voldemort’s nearly killed someone, and twice that Harry’s been the only one able to stop him.
And that’s terrifying. What if next time, Harry fails and someone dies? He needs to be ready — and for that he needs supplies, training, and money. And so as term ends, Harry sneaks down into the Chamber of Secrets, intent on stealing the Basilisk’s valuable organs before anyone realizes he’s there.
But he’s not the only one with the idea. As Severus Snape arrives to stake his claim, Harry realizes that if he wants to make any money at all, he’ll have to outwit the Head of Slytherin…
Which is doable, because Snape’s clearly not supposed to be there either. All Harry has to do is blackmail him… right?
