The aircon hums quietly, someone’s phone vibrates with a notification. Miyeon exhales and shifts, making the bedsheets rustle.
Minnie is about to pipe up with, “Can’t fall asleep either?” before she hears something that sounds like a moan. She still doesn’t think much of it—Miyeon does let out weird sounds every so often without meaning to. Then-“Nnnghh, ahh, mmmhfg-”

Minnie would never acknowledge it, even to herself, but she would do anything for her best friend Miyeon. Call it platonic love, or a sense of responsibility, or even just a twisted desire to one-up other people in Miyeon's life---whatever her motive, she just wants Miyeon to depend on her. What she doesn't know is that Miyeon loves to depend on her too, even for things that she should much rather bring up with a lover or a therapist.
