Summary
"Oh! Yep, that's a gusher!" Ted called out with strained cheerfulness, blinking away the stars and tears of pain in his eyes with a tentative hand holding his nose. Lucky for him, the nice administrator fella nearby pointed him in the direction of the nurses office - empty but for himself now - and left him to his own devices to get back to keeping an eye on the rascals. The first thing Ted reached for was a tissue, which he plugged up his nostril with a bit too much force of his shaking hands, and started scrubbing off his hands in the large industrial sink in the corner.
See, Ted didn't really do well with blood.
(Not since he was sixteen and running into his parents bedroom to find his daddy's brains on the walls. Not since he had to tear up the carpet himself because they couldn't afford a crime cleaner or biohazard specialist or whatever they called themselves in the phone book at the time. Not since bloody pink water stained his skin all the way up to his elbows in the tub where he simultaneously vomited and scratched his skin clean with his own blood instead of his fathers.)

Pretty sure this one isn't in the handbook on how to improve your working relationship with your first officer that hates you.
Not that Jim's ever really used the handbook.
