Summary
“Alright älskling. Are you all ready to go? Do you have all of your toys packed up that you want to bring with you?” Wille had packed all of her essentials the night before, but Nova always packed her own little backpack of toys and dolls that she wanted to bring with her. It was a practiced routine for the two of them now, packing up her life once every other week to send her over to their exes house.

Summary
“Let me get this straight.” Wilhelm straightens up in his chair. “Your plan is to get married in, like, two months?”
“Basically, yes,” Sara says.
“That's insane! How do you intend to organize an entire wedding from the other side of the world?”
“Well, we wouldn't have to do it, not really. You would do it for us,” Felice confirms his suspicions, a tentative smile on her full lips.
[...]
“You are my bridesman, Wille,” Felice clarifies, “Sara will have her own one, who already agreed to help organize the wedding while we're away.”
Wilhelm's stomach churns in an unpleasant way, suggesting him that he's not going to like where this is going. Not one bit.
Before he can even gather the courage to ask who the aforementioned person is – even though he has a pretty good idea already – the door of the café opens and, as if on cue, a head of brown, curly hair he hasn't seen in a while appears in his sight.
“You've got to be fucking kidding me.”
~
TLDR: Wilhelm and Simon have hated each other for years, but they're forced to work together when Felice and Sara ask them to organize their wedding.

Summary
The 1960 baseball season is unraveling Wilhelm Larsson’s life. He can’t hit, his new teammates hate him, he’s homesick, and he’s living out of a suitcase. When the team forces him into a season-long interview stunt with a snobby reporter, he has no choice but to agree.
Simon Eriksson is not a sports reporter. He’s a grieving arts writer barely holding on, hiding behind his routine and a too-empty apartment, mourning a partner he was never able to be public about. The last thing he needs is to spend a season writing about New York’s obnoxious new shortstop in a stunt to get the struggling newspaper more readers.
Drawn together, they recognize something achingly familiar in each other’s collapse. But Simon has promised himself he will never be someone’s secret again, and Wilhelm cannot afford to be out in the career he’s in. In the end, they’ll have to decide whether love is worth the risk of losing everything.
