“I need your help.” Her voice drops to a soft whisper, one he might have missed if they weren’t so close.
He swallows despite his dry throat. “With what?” Aang matches her hushed tone.
Instead of responding with words, Toph shifts closer on top of him, closing the distance between them until their noses are almost touching. Her thumb brushes softly against his cheek, and he feels the urge to lean into her touch. Instead, he clenches his jaw.
“I think you know what, Twinkletoes.”
