Summary
Miranda Priestly has run Runway, survived two divorces, and terrified more grown men than she can count, all without once losing her composure. Then Andrea says two words over breakfast, and Miranda forgets to drink her coffee.
What follows is months of quiet, relentless mobilisation. Miranda has never known how to love anyone by halves, and she has absolutely no intention of starting now. But somewhere along the way, she discovers that the thing she's actually building isn't a fortress. It's a family. And some of what's coming can't be prevented, only survived, together. This is a story about a woman who has spent her whole life believing competence was the only love worth trusting, and the people who slowly, patiently, teach her a better language for it.

Summary
“… I could do it.”
Emily frowned. “Do what?”
“Go with you.” Emily stared. Andrea met her eyes. “To dinner.”
Another beat. Emily’s expression slowly rearranged itself.
“You.”
“Yes.”
“As my girlfriend.”
“Yes.”
Emily looked genuinely baffled.
Andrea’s confidence faltered for the first time. “What?”
“In what universe would anybody believe that?”
OR

Summary
Baby.
Did Andy Sachs just call me baby in the middle of the Place du Carrousel? In front of the Louvre? In front of French people?
Emily’s internal monologue threw itself off a cliff.
I ran four blocks in four-inch Christian Louboutins for a piece of circuitry and she called me baby. I will run to Berlin right now. I will sprint across the Atlantic Ocean. Give me another errand. Tell me to steal the Mona Lisa, Andy. I will do it.
or: Emily’s internal monologues get increasingly unhinged as she spends time with Andy.

Summary
“Fascinating,” Emily hissed, her blue eyes narrowing down. “So you’ve hired a hyper-competent and attractive girl who stares at Andrea like she’s the North Star.”
“And she wears leather jackets that are more expensive than my first apartment, Em,” Nigel added helpfully, inclining forward with the absolute joy of a man watching a prime West End drama unfurl. “You're going to hate her.”

Emily Charlton is totally, completely, 100% normal about her wife being flirted with. Just ask her.
