  Summary

A secluded village in the mountains is surrounded by an ancient forest. The villagers believe it's evil. That something is always lurking between the trees, a creature of unquenchable thirst.
Every 10 years the village makes a sacrifice to the forest, the purest soul that resides within their walls and this time it so happened to be... you.

In other words: what happens when a girl like you gets abandoned in a forest that happens to be the home of a terrifying, ruthless monster?

Simpler: Monster Joel and reader love story
