Summary
The end of your sinful life signaled the beginning of your eternal punishment in Hell, mercilessly befalling on each and every Sinner’s descent. The King of Hell was no exception to this ironclad rule. In retribution for granting free will to humanity and ushering in evil into the world, Lucifer's punishment had forced him to become and remain as an immortal witness to the corruption now deeply entrenched into humanity, being tortuously deprived of autonomy to somehow fix his mistakes.
This unsaid rule of Hell was kept secret from countless Sinners who have found their way into Hell, remaining blissfully ignorant in the shadow of a saddened king. In the aftermath of this rule's discovery, one may wonder what their true punishment in Hell may be, recalling their commitment to sin as a living soul. Another may wonder, if repentance of one's sin was somehow possible, perhaps one's Hellish punishment may be relieved.
However, Vincent Whittman, who had long discovered the punishments that Hell granted upon every Sinner and still continued to lavish in the performance of his sins, could only wonder about how many seconds were left on the clock of his second life ‘til his final surrender.
