The whispered words settle deep within her, a balm that soothes all the pain and hurt of the night before burrowing to the center of her chest, making a permanent home for themselves. Even at such a young, ripe age, MJ knows she’s likely going to love Peter Parker forever, even when she’s old and greying and they’re each married to someone else, and that is the worst part of all this.

Here's the thing about Clark Kent that nobody knew:

These were survival rules, developed over years of trial and error, designed to keep him sane in a world where he would never quite belong.Clark Kent is perfect, ridiculously good looking, and completely commitment-phobic—he has to be, so he can be the Superman everyone needs. Until he meets Lois Lane, who fucks everything up in less than 24 hours—except she doesn’t remember any of it.
