“James, please.” Regulus whispers out after what it feels like a century, his voice cracking pathetically at the desperate plea. “Say something.”
“Are you sure?” That’s what James settles for asking.
“That I’m pregnant or that it’s yours?” Regulus doesn’t know what to do with the silence he gets in return. He blinks away the tears, swallows around the lump in his throat and stiffly answers, “Yes, James, I’m sure… about both.”
“Merlin.” James whispers hoarsely under his breath and slides his hands in his messy curls, tugging it a few times with so much force that it must hurt. Regulus can’t bring himself to tell him to stop doing it. He can’t bring himself to do anything other than just sit there, stare at his horrified seventeen year old boyfriend and listen as I’m pregnant I'm sixteen I’m pregnant my parents are going to kill me I’m pregnant wails in his head like a siren.

Summary
Reo hears from Nagi for the first time in two years in an interview.
It's a standard question, really; the host asks Nagi if he has a lover, and like the young, inexperienced football star that he is, Nagi blushes and shakes his head and stammers something naive; something romantic about an old crush, about lingering feelings from a long time ago. He does not mention a name, and he does not say Reo Mikage, but the whole world seems to think he did.

There’s a pause, an audible hitch in his breath, and then Reo laughs without humour, pressing his face into his palms.

Reo raises his eyebrows in surprise. It's pretty late and it's a pretty specific question.
