Summary
Suguru was looking at Satoru, brows furrowed and so intensely vulnerable, and all he saw was the seventeen-year-old boy who hung himself to escape the hurt, believing himself to be nothing more than a burden. The one who taught him to imbue meaning into existence, to make it a life, to feel so deeply it was a miracle his heart hadn’t burst from the fervor of it all. The one who slipped from his fingers faster than he could desperately grasp for any remnants.

What pounded his heart was the other’s profound gaze. Satoru admired the purple specks swimming in Suguru’s dark irises. Resting under the monolids and long lashes were eye bags. His six eyes took in more details, but to Suguru, he was not looking anywhere but at his pair of eyes.
Satoru’s lips stretched into a small grin. “You look like you need a shrink.”
He doesn’t know how his voice has already found him after being affected by a face so deeply. He sounded almost cheerful.
Suguru replied without a beat. “You need a blindfold. Your eyes are disgustingly blue.”
