Summary
Aziraphale is on a mission to the country of Infinis, a small but mighty island nation in the middle of the sea. His mission? To infiltrate and take over the peace talks between Infinis and his country, Entalion. It's no easy task with the Entalion ambassador already on a ship to make the peace talks in time. It's even harden when the only power behind Aziraphale was the rebellion that had not fully come yet to fruition.
On the way over, Aziraphale read about something called 'the companions of Infinis,' a form of slavery that the king of Entalion had been about to invite to their shores through the peace talks.
A companion is someone who was trained from birth to be everything a master might need. Both weapon and tool, companion and confidant. Lover and slave. Aziraphale knows this is wrong but everything is twisted here on Infinis, most people more in love with their companion than their own spouse. And then Aziraphale meets a companion who changes everything for him-- most importantly, his mission. Now he has to save his homeland... and Crowley... before he can ever hope to leave this strange, beautiful... twisted island... alive.

Summary
It was supposed to be The End. With the burning of the Book of Life and God eradicating the entire universe, the story had been told, the last page turned.
Except there is no one who knows books, appreciates and understands them, like Aziraphale, the angel who has spent millennia reading, collecting and protecting them. Unhappy with the way things are ending, he takes a desperate chance and attempts to write a new one for Crowley and himself, his final miracle, not knowing if it will work.
It may, but if, and only if, Aziraphale can find Crowley in time. And if Crowley can forgive him for it once he does.
Then maybe, just maybe, the two of them will get the opportunity to build a new life together and write a happy ending of their own.

He had seen such things before, in candlelit rooms where the curtains were drawn against the moon, or in cellars thick with damp and the muttered arrogance of men who believed a few stolen words could make them masters of the unseen. He had watched frightened children trace circles upon bedroom floors, chanting from books they scarcely understood, laughing until something answered. Most of those rituals were nonsense. Most of them called upon nothing more dangerous than the participants’ own imaginations. But some were not.
Some had been passed down, mangled and mistranslated, through generations of occultists who had forgotten what the words meant and why they had once been forbidden. They didn’t distinguish between a demon summoned by a superior and a demon stolen from the arms of someone who loved him. They simply reached, and Crowley had been taken.
“Oh, my darling,” Aziraphale whispered. “I'll find you. I'm coming.”

Summary
This is the 3d part of my series and probably can be read on its own, but the previous parts would be useful for better understanding)
In "Doubts and certainties" Aziraphale and Crowley were trying to get used to their new lives out of clutches of Heaven and Hell. A new Heaven Emissary on Earth arrived, some attempt of revenge from Hell and Heaven were made, Satan and God made some appearances. Questions of trust, self-sacrifice, doubts, self-doubts, fear, purposes and faith had to be answered before the friends could really move on into their new life in that idyllic cottage in South Downs.
In "A Minor Inconvenience" Aziraphale grieved over Crowley's presumed death. But Crowley was kidnapped by Hell and secretely re-made as Rusty, a lowly demon doomed to work forever in one of the deepest offices of Hell. After a reckless escape he came to the bookshop, and Aziraphale had to admit that it was now a very different demon. A way to bring real Crowley back was found eventually, dangerous and nearly impossible. And these events left both the angel and the demon deeply wounded.Now it's time to deal with those wounds

There is a reason witches are warned not to summon demons.
The sleepy town of Tadfield was supposed to be peaceful, a town full of witches practicing their craft without worry of outside persecution. At least it was until someone let a demon loose. But local bookshop owner and garden enthusiast Aziraphale doesn't really care about all that nonsense, not when he has just acquired a new friend and companion in the shape of a Familiar.
Crowley just wanted to head back home. But that's getting harder to do now that he's gone and gotten attached to a certain witch, which is bad since he does not want the pure-hearted man to be corrupted by his mere presence.Bookmarked by MrNickLower
