Without a single thought in his head except, No, except, Not him, Robby moves, tossing the clipboard aside and throwing himself in front of Jack. He doesn’t have any sort of plan, no idea of what he’s doing or why, really; if he did, he might have tried to position himself better, or hold something up, or— anything, anything at all instead of what he does, which is lunge forward in front of Jack and instantly feel the sensation of a tremendous force being punched through his left shoulder in the next beat of his heart.
“Michael!” he hears before there’s nothing but fuzzy static and this shrill roar that seems to echo through his whole skull. It’s shattered and strange, but he thinks it’s Jack’s voice.

She remembered how easily he offered to help get her mom from Oklahoma not even a year ago. How he approached the situation without judgement. How easily he entered into that dynamic, not hesitating to follow Abby’s lead. She thought he hid his discomfort quite well, but of course he didn’t. He’s an open book, he always has been. He’d done that before.
“Abby,” Carter whispered, gesturing towards the woman, “you remember my mother.”

Sicktember Day 11- No Known Cure
Carter never remembers the seizures themselves. It's a mercy, perhaps, and one that his co-workers lack- while he chokes and gurgles back to consciousness, eyes rolling, confused and distressed, they sit by his side in full awareness of what they've just witnessed.
He wonders what that must be like.
