Summary
On the day Sirius Black turned seventeen, he had his soulmark removed in order to protect the soulmate he'd never met from the wrath of his own family. Sirius is preparing for a totally normal festive season, complete with his beautiful pooch Padfoot and his best friends Lily and James when his plans are suddenly derailed by a call from his brother telling him that his favourite uncle is dying. He returns to London for the first time in years, anxious and overwhelmed with guilt to brave family politics, say good-bye, and just maybe fall in love with a curly haired hospice nurse who isn't afraid of his mess and takes no shit from his family. A story about losing someone very important and finding a soft place to land in love.

He looks at Remus with those same piercing silver eyes, shaded under that same fucking cowboy hat.
"Hi," Sirius says, with a cocky and crooked grin, tearing his face in half. "Miss me?"
In the seven years since their band's final performance, Sirius Black's career has skyrocketed, while Remus Lupin is counting the days until his bank account dwindles to nothing. When an eccentric millionaire requests a private show on the remote Godric's Island, Remus can't say no.
Soon enough, he'll wish he had.

When Remus takes his newly out son Teddy for his first gender affirming haircut, he never expects the salon owner and hairstylist to be Sirius Black. Furthermore, he never expects Sirius to give him his number or ask him to the Mardi Gras Winter Carnival. Not only is this guy gorgeous, funny, and involved in the local LGBT community-- he also was a part of the family that bullied Remus for being gay in the 90's. Now twenty years later, all grown up, and changed for the better, Remus gives Sirius a second chance at friendship and maybe something more.
