    Summary

When Zoro finally decided to pay the love cook a visit at his restaurant, several years after the crew split up, he was fully prepared to be verbally assaulted with taunts and insults about his newfound weight, or get kicked in the head for not adhering to his usual diet. What he doesn’t expect is for Sanji to be… flustered.

And somehow it only escalates from there.

    Summary

“Say,” Sanji says to Nami, leaning backwards against the wood top while watching the frankly fascinating scene playing out at the other end of the bar, “is Zoro…being flirted with?”

“Yeah,” she says as if it isn’t anything new.

    Summary

Welcome to your new double sided cassette tape. There are two stories available.

SIDE A: There is Sokka and there is Zuko. They are sleeping together but they are not yet lovers. They’re figuring out the “yet” part.

SIDE B: To save Zuko’s life Sokka makes a deal with the devil. He isn’t sure what this makes him now, besides stronger and more dangerous. He’s not sure if he gets to keep Zuko.

At some point there is a monster, but I won’t tell you who and I won’t tell you when. There is also sex and good friends and any combination of the two.

(Sorry if this tape skips out of order. It does that sometimes.)

    Summary

The moon asked the sun, “What do you know of love?”

“It burns,” said the sun. “It brightens. It is something you make and then give away.”

“Don’t listen to him,” said the clouds. “This big ball of gas doesn’t know what he’s talking about.”

“Yes, I do,” said the sun. “Who but me makes the roses grow?”

“We do,” said the clouds. “Love nourishes, like the rain. We turn the hills green and fill the creeks so they will sing in their creekbeds.”

“Why do you ask?” said the sun.

“I think I might be in love,” said the moon. “I am trying to understand.”

    Summary

"If I could come up with a Ratatouille theory, then I should have thought of this years ago..."

Hikaru's anticipation cracked, and he descended into a bout of alarmed laughs. Akira basked in the blatant acceptance of his comfort. "Ratatouille? Akira, what the hell-"

"You were haunted by a ghost."

Hikaru's soft laughter stuttered to a halt. It occurred to Akira that Hikaru himself had likely never heard these words out loud. Hushing his voice and stepping closer, Akira savored the way Hikaru needed this from him just as much as he needed this from Hikaru.

    "Sai was a ghost."

    -

[or: hikaru admits that he wants to tell akira about sai but doesn't know how to, so akira goes batshit and writes a non-peer-reviewed academic diary on it and figures everything out on his own]

    Bookmarker's Notes

The prose is beautiful and casual at the same time. The author has a distinct writing style. I love it when I can differentiate.

Hikaru and Akira have spot-on characterisations. I'm so glad this fandom has fics like this to give me closure.
