Summary
Growing up in the Temple of the Ancestor Moth made Alarne resilient in a way that most of the citizens of Tamriel weren’t. At 23 years old he was well on his way to secure a spot in the Imperial Library as the youngest Moth Priest to read an Elder Scroll, and become a part of an ancient organization dedicated to the study and safe keeping of the scrolls.
And then came the Scattering of the Elder Scrolls. On the 4th of Sun’s Dawn, in the year 175 of the 4th Era, the Elder Scrolls ‘decided’ to get up and leave the library.
Alarne pushed past his lack of qualifications, his physical limitations, and Kynareth's domain in the wilderness, only to be bested by a slaughterfish. Just as his luck turned sour and he was ready to return empty handed the Divines answered his prayers: a mercenary by the name of Malena.
As the tension of the Great War nears its height, Tamriel faces a reckoning. All decisions made in the next 25 years will have dire consequences that may save Tamriel from a world-ending disaster, or bring it closer to the maw of the World-Eater.

“Just this once,” Soap reassured him.
But deep down, he let himself hope. He was going to make this so good for Ghost, was going to ensure he knew that once was never going to be enough.

Soap’s always been bad at keeping his hands to himself, that was no secret. More than that, he knows Ghost wasn’t someone he should be touching, shouldn’t be antagonizing like this. But never would he have guessed that this would be the consequence for crossing the line.
