    Baelor stared at him. “You would bind our lines more tightly still.”

    “I would ensure there is no question of succession.”

    “And you trust him in this?” Baelor asked, unable to keep the edge from his voice.

    Maekar did not so much as blink. “I trust what can be made of him.”
