Hello Reddit! We're hockey players Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov. This is our first season playing together on the Ottawa Centaurs after more than a decade on rival teams. We've also co-founded a mental health charity called the Irina Foundation, which raises money for mental health services by hosting hockey camps for kids. We thought it'd be fun to take a break from wedding-planning to answer your questions, so we'll see you tomorrow at 9am EST!u/goaliemoleybatman • 16 hours ago

Summary
Shane jumped the track and came out to his team during the Boston Year. When Shane gets hurt by Dallas Kent, a wrench is thrown in their ten year plans. He is out of play again, barely back after Marleau’s hit the season prior. Shane decides to visit Ilya in Boston for a while during recovery to let off some steam and put some distance between him and his team in Montreal.
Over the course of his visit, he is welcomed with open arms and realizes just how full Ilya’s life is there. He learns just what he would be giving up to stick to their original plan. Maybe it’s time for the plan to change.
