Netflix’s newest miniseries Heated Rivalry was sure to be a hit, with sky-high production value, an A-list director, and fans that were beyond passionate about it. This show, in short, was going to be a big fucking deal. And so were the two actors slated for the leading roles.
Shane knew he had to do this the second he got his hands on the script. The only problem was his costar.
A meta AU in which Shane Hollander, Canada's golden boy child star, gets cast opposite Ilya Rozanov, Russia's heartthrob acting phenom, in a love story.

Shane frowned at himself in the bathroom mirror. He had a lot to be concerned about: he was in an anxiety-inducing social situation in a city that had hated him his entire NHL career, and he was pretty sure one of his best friends was keeping a secret from him.
He sighed and adjusted his jacket. The suit he had worn to and from the game against Boston earlier was one of his – and Ilya’s – favorites, but he still felt self-conscious. There weren’t any guidelines on what to wear to dinner with the woman your husband had hooked up with for years and then almost married for citizenship and whom you still felt deep flashes of jealousy toward if you let yourself think about it for too long.

A thrill went down his spine. “And I’m guessing you already have something in mind if you’ve suggested this bet.”
Instead of responding, Ilya leaned down and kissed him—a filthy, obscene kiss that left his dick twitching pathetically against his thigh despite the fact he was completely spent.
“You will see, Hollander.”
“You’re on, Rozanov.”
And, at the time, Shane really did feel good about his chances—orgasm haze aside.
Now, standing in the bathroom of a Vegas hotel suite, he almost cursed his own damn competitiveness.

Or, a bet was made and Shane is a good sportsman. That is the only reason he is putting on rozanov's jersey. Promise.
