Kyōya's older sister comes to Lumiose to visit her little brother, to meet the Team MZ members (and all of their other friends) that she's heard so much about, to see the beautiful city Kyōya has decided to make his home for the foreseeable future, and to evaluate for herself if the man her brother is head over heels for is interested in him as well - because if she has to hear something like, "He called me today and greeted me with 'Morning, sunshine' but really I think that probably means nothing because he was calling me for work reasons," one more time she's gonna lose her mind and try to punch her brother in the face through the phone.
