You had not a single drop of energy left to try and seek out others like you. The little fight that remained in your soul was smothered out the moment you were captured. Your only chance was to just get used to your new life in captivity, being constantly watched and monitored.
And you did, eventually. You grew accustomed to the new routine, your new home, and the faces that came with it. All was ...relatively well. That is until a new face is brought into the facility that personnel are oh-so-eager to gossip about.
When you lay your eyes on him though, you grow fascinated by him. Eager to seek comfort in the unfamiliar.
