And Leo thought that was the easiest and hardest question he was ever asked because no, he was not okay. He was definitely not okay, but he couldn't deal with the questions right now.
So instead he did what he's always done.
He wiped away the waterworks, took a deep breath, plastered on a smile, and said, "Of course I'm okay, why wouldn't I be?"
Annabeth, Percy, and Nico stared in disbelief at the boy's outright lie and knew they were all thinking the same thing.
It was so damn convincing.
Or: While visiting New York City at Percy's request, Leo sees someone he thought he'd never have to encounter again.
