steve harrington needs some space, too bad he didn't run this by dustin first who gathers everyone for an emergency meeting in the wheeler's basement- robin decides that jonathon byers is the solution, and it weirdly works better than any of them expected.
cue steve and jonathon bonding and falling in love in between steve piecing himself back together and jonathon learning that 'king steve' is just as broken as the rest of them.
(post season four. very minor side ships, the main focus is jonathon/steve)

When the Ministry informs Harry that they are coming to destroy his wand for defending himself from the dementors that attack him in Little Whinging, Harry knows there's only one path left available to him. He can survive on his own. He knows how. It won't even be that hard. And being on the run in his animagus form makes him a feel a little closer to Sirius, anyway.
At least, he thinks so, until he's picked up by a pet store, sold to a classmate, and brought right back to Hogwarts where the state of things is so bad that he's actually glad he's expelled.

Steve feels like a child on the playground trying to make friends and it’s somehow excruciatingly difficult, but he’s too stubborn to give up. Despite his own embarrassment and the voice in his head whispering he wants nothing to do with you, leave already, Steve keeps pressing. Because he’s stubborn. And prideful. And so lonely that he’d rather talk to someone out here under Hawkins' night sky than stand along the wall inside for another minute.
“What’s your name?” Steve tries, voice light and hopeful.
“Like you care,” the mysterious Myers replies. Unlike Steve’s kind tone, this masked stranger speaks low and monotone, showing clear disinterest.
