He knows Tsukishima is waiting for Tadashi to say something, to offer up some information on why he’s been sleeping more, why he’s eating less, why he gets winded walking home.
But the words stick in Tadashi’s throat, and try as he might, he doesn’t think there’s enough courage in him to tell Tsukishima the truth.
A resigned sigh escapes Tsukishima, then he reaches up, and brushes something gently out of Tadashi’s hair. “There,” he murmurs, as a white petal flutters to the ground. His fingers disappear from Tadashi’s hair almost as quickly as they’d come. “You’re shedding flowers.” He says it with a ghost of a smirk.
Tadashi can only stare speechlessly up at him. His heart is beating so hard he’s almost certain Tsukishima can hear it. “Yeah,” he whispers. “I guess I am.”
OR Tadashi has Hanahaki disease.

Geek/Jock AU. He’d cornered Yamaguchi before the end of class and held him there while everyone left. The blonde had been all smiles and lowered eyelids, towering over the other and leaning in so close they shared air.
He hadn’t laid a hand on the brunette, but by the end of their completely normal conversation, the other was panting and gasping at the air like a fish out of water. It was cute, the desperation that stretched across his face with Tsukishima being so close to him.
