There is nothing to dictate the amount of time he might have left before he becomes just one more wellspring of vermilion amongst the surrounding carnage, and yet he remains as perfectly motionless as he can, gaze fixed on Helmut's face, attuned to every point of contact and the minute trembling as the smaller man works his way toward some final resolution.
Whatever the reason, whatever the outcome, Bucky has no will to fight this man, even just to free himself.

Sam rolls his eyes and very dutifully does not flinch away from the unexpected tickle of air by his ear.
"No. Don't you think it's just a bit, I don't know – juvenile?" he tries. Bucky just snorts and now it's his turn to roll his eyes.
"Sounds like a pretty lame excuse, pal. Gonna hafta maintain the idea that you’re just chicken–"
“Oh for the love of– fine. Give me your best shot.”
Sam should really know by now that tempting fate leads more often than not to heavily unexpected results.

It was hardly a drop in the bucket to what Bucky was feeling though, as his own anger at Zemo's recklessness sizzled under his skin. Defiance rose up from the embers, and Bucky felt the burst of adrenaline mingle with the ire, pushing him to action.

Matt Murdock is still drowning in grief after loosing Foggy and no one seems to understand how much he's struggling. Frank Castle is so done with his enemy-turned-reluctant-ally's recklessness and he's determined to put a stop to it.
Both of them have been repressing their mutual attraction for longer than they'd care to admit. But when circumstances force them to get closer they begin to realize that maybe it's been more than that all along.
An alternative version of Straight to Hell where Frank and Matt slowly realize what they mean to each other and try to figure out what to do about it. Karen just wants to help her ex-situationships stay alive.
