Summary
Reader, a small-town girl who decides to move to the big city, is in desperate need of a job. Trying her luck at The Bear, she is fortunate enough to be allowed to trial for a Front of House position. There, she meets Luca, a quiet and guarded chef with a military past he keeps tightly under wraps. As Reader struggles to find her footing in a chaotic new city and an even more chaotic restaurant, she slowly finds herself becoming closer to Luca and uncovering the parts of him he's spent years trying to keep hidden.
Basically, Reader x Luca from The Bear but his character's backstory is inspired by Will Poulter's role in Warfare (2025).
This is also quite heavily inspired by Sweetbitter (2018) which is one of my favourite shows and I heavily recommend it if you enjoyed The Bear!Bookmarked by OddOne92
