It was in the nebulous time period after The Starlight Lounge closed but before the rest of society who didn't work in the entertainment industry were up and about, and Kremy Lecroux was running an experiment.
Not a necessarily unusual occurrence, all things considered, but this experiment had one key difference to her usual ones – it was starting with human trials rather than ending with them.
Kremy tests a hypothesis. Gidienne is more than happy to help.

Summary
Kremy had been quiet, dangerously so, on the way back from The Ganymede. He'd let Gideon put a hand on his thigh, but he hadn't leaned his weight on him like he usually would, or grabbed Gideon's leg back. Instead, he just looked him up at down, raised an eyebrow at him, and gone back to looking out the taxi window at the city as it passed them by.
This was Gideon's sign that he was really going to get it when they got back to the hotel.
Kremy punishes Gideon for his behaviour at the tailor's and the jazz bar.
