Summary
Satoru and Suguru are practically a mated pair, minus the bond bites. Every heat or rut, they are drawn to one another. Years ago, the two struck a deal for the other to fill the role of partner for each other's heats and ruts.
Satoru wants nothing more than to become Suguru’s mate but he’s hesitant to allow himself to be attached to any alpha. Lest they make demands of him as an omega. All those alphas care about is using him to move up the social ladder and keeping him bred with pups.
Things are different with Suguru though… or at least he thought they were.
Satoru is caught off guard by the feeling of Suguru withdrawing from him. He tries not to take it personally, to understand that he needs time and space after Amani’s death, but the further and further away Suguru drifts, the more he feels the usually quiet and ignored omega part of himself panic.
He can’t help but feel like Suguru’s running out of time.
