Summary
Peeta Mellark has been rescued from the Capitol, but he's not the same boy with the bread Katniss once knew. His hijacked mind has opened his eyes to the real Katniss Everdeen. She's selfish, surly, and indifferent towards him. And he hates her for it.
Late one night, he gets a visitor in his hospital room in District Thirteen. Someone who tells him they can give him something impossible: A second chance. He has nothing in this timeline. No family, no friends, not even memories he can trust. So he accepts.
Peeta finds himself in District Twelve on Reaping Day of the Seventy-Fourth Hunger Games. This time, He vows to do it differently. This time, there will only be one Victor, and it won't be Katniss Everdeen.
As he struggles to survive the 74th Games for the second time, he finds that some things can be fixed, but some things are just inevitable. As if no matter what he does to change it, this would've happened anyway.
