Soap groans, "I swear yer doing it on purpose just to me, Ghostie."
"Negative." the robotic bastard replies. He'll get him one day.

Sir John "Soap" MacTavish is part of the British Order of Cyberknights, built to keep the Aether and its zombie soldiers at bay. His squad receives a robot fighter called G.H.O.S.T. to aid them in their quests, and Soap becomes close "friends" with the machine over the course of 2 months. He knows Ghost can't really feel the same, or anything at all, but it's the closest thing to friendship he has.
It all changes on a perilous quest, where Soap discovers there is more to Ghost than they had been told...------
