Summary
As he walked along, humming an old tune to himself, a sharp, shooting pain raced up his legs, far worse than anything he’d dealt with before. He gasped, collapsing to the floor as black spots clouded his vision. On hands and knees, Lance took in gasping breaths as pain overtook his lower half. Slowly, the pain lessened until it was only marginally worse than what he was used to by now. Blinking the spots away, Lance shakily stood. “Well. That can’t be good,” he murmured to himself. He took one, then two experimental steps. When the pain didn’t lessen nor rise, he took in a deep breath, placed a shaky smile on his face, and continued on.
Or, Lance is a merman who's been away from water for far too long.

Summary
Richie Tozier hasn't exactly had the classic teenage experience depicted in movies. He doesn't think many have defeated a demonic clown. Nor gaining large amounts of trauma from said experience. It didn't help his parents showed no care or interest in him, adding to that trauma. A tattoo of a number was also on his arm, which he didn't know the meaning of. He had no knowledge of where it was from, only vaguely remembering a doctor giving it to him when he was younger. It was only a few years ago that the abilities appeared, ones he didn't know how to control. The lack of understanding kept him in silence, refusing to admit he was a walking science experience. But, when he is suddenly forced to see his cousins in Hawkins, he finally has some understanding. Richie felt things could finally be normal, that's is until he started hearing about the death of multiple children and seeing some red balloons.

When Harry blows up Aunt Marge, Dumbledore decides he can't be left to his own devices in Diagon Alley for the whole of August and sends him to stay with the only person available - one highly displeased Severus Snape. Harry, for his part, doesn't think this summer could get any worse. After all, what could be more unpleasant than living with Professor Snape?
