Summary
Shops and restaurants were beginning to close, the lights flicked off and doors locked as people exited the businesses and made their way home. While this wasn’t unusual for the winter season, the Winter Solstice was approaching, and majority of the people used the day as an opportunity to close early and relax with their loved ones as they prepared for the longest night of the year.
Future Industries was no exception. Asami had ensured all the staff had been compensated for the shorter work hours prior to the holiday, as well as providing a bonus in their paychecks for when the office and warehouses would be closed the following day for the Solstice.
It was one of the few days of the year Asami would allow herself a complete work-free day off.
