The first stirrings of a plan takes shape when he’s boiling the rotini, threading into sturdier lines that make up half a vignette as his father rambles on about the current chapter he’s writing for his novel. By the time that they’ve cleaned the plates, washed the dishes and put on a movie, the other half of the picture slots in to make a whole, and Yuuji’s heart thunders in a clammer that drowns out the noise from the tv, dialogue dispersing into white noise.

“I’m not kidding around Satoru.” Suguru continuously looked back and forth between the frightened boy and his own palm in disbelief.
In which Sukuna accepts Yuuji’s offer to return to him. But it instead warps them back to the past.
(un)fortunately, Yuuji doesn’t remember his alternate life.
