Eliot wakes from a sound that definitely shouldn’t come from his kitchen at 3 am, especially not with the security system Hardison just updated for him last week. He’s up and at his bedroom door in seconds, listening for any other suspicious sound coming from outside. Nothing. He risks a look into the hallway and checks the strategically placed mirror. The path into the kitchen is clear.
He moves soundlessly down the hall, ready to fight anyone stupid enough to sneak up on him in his sleep.
