Summary
Orc raids are a fact of life in western Oxia; the clans come over the mountains every autumn, seeking plunder and battle. When a young man freshly sworn to a lord's retinue joins a force sent to repel one such raid, he simply hopes to come back alive, and prove himself worthy of a better-paying position so he can finally afford to marry his childhood sweetheart.
What he doesn't expect is to slay the orc clanhead in single combat to save the life of the next Duke. Instantly, he finds himself showered in fame, glory, wealth and land as a landed knight. It would almost sound like something out of a storybook, except for one little inconvenient fact.
The orc clanhead has a daughter. Six and a half feet tall, a towering warrior with a fearsome reputation and deadly skill with her beloved axe, she sees her father fall, and...declares herself to be the young man's slave-wife, his thrall by right of conquest. She insists on it, actually. And she is very eager to introduce her new clanhead to the ways of the orcs...including the provision that every clanhead requires a harem of fearsome warrior women.What does this mean for his childhood friend? If she wants her fiance back, she'll have to earn him. In single combat.

The first thing your sensors were able to record were the stars you saw through damaged lenses as you floated aimlessly through space. It was only sheer luck your broken artificial body was picked up by the sensors on Herta’s Space Station & even luckier that the Emanator of Nous was interested in you enough to keep you.
You don’t remember much except your fondness for the one thing that accompanied you in your era long drift in space, the stars.
