Summary

Jennifer Jareau captured Emily Prentiss's heart the moment they met, and no matter how hard Emily tried she couldn't shake away the feeling. She knew that JJ wouldn't feel the same so when they met William LaMontagne Jr. in New Orleans, Emily convinced JJ to go for him. As she watched JJ take her advice, her heart broke but she knew it was for the best.
For years JJ was with Will, and she was happy for the most part but she felt something was missing. She couldn't put her finger on it until Emily moved to London to run Interpol that she realised Emily was what was missing. She thought Emily didn't feel the same otherwise she wouldn't have pushed her to Will all those years ago.
Years later William and JJ have divorced. Will the girls admit their feelings to each other, or has to much time come between them and their feelings.

After one too many drinks at Girls’ Night, JJ and Emily have a sleepover—totally platonic, obviously. Because best friends cuddle. And steal each other’s clothes. And stay tangled together in bed for as long as possible. Nothing to see here.
One sleepover turns into two. Then three. Then a habit neither of them questions. Because best friends do this, right? They fall asleep wrapped around each other after long cases. They take care of each other when things get too heavy. And of course, they pretend it doesn’t mean anything.
Emily is pining. JJ is oblivious, doing everything except processing her feelings. And the rest of the team? They’re placing bets.
AKA: A slow-burn disaster featuring pining, oblivious idiots, suspiciously domestic sleepovers, team scheming, and a little bit of smut, as a treat.

Michael is okay. Kids are resilient and even with Henry off to college, he’s got no shortage of male role models to choose from. Luke is his favourite, which JJ is pretty sure is only because Luke is Aunty Penelope’s favourite and Michael worships the ground she walks on. So, Michael has Luke and Penelope, Henry has Spence, and JJ has all of them and none of them. Most days it feels like she’s on her own.
“That’s not totally true though,” Dr. Ochoa says. “You have Emily.”
