Summary
It only took one word to bring the King of Hell’s carefully constructed secret crashing down around him.
Usually, the Radio Demon’s theatrical lecturing and static-heavy barbs were just background noise to Lucifer’s internal moping. But when Alastor leans in to scold the hotel staff, he uses a specific, commanding register that was never meant for an audience—and Lucifer’s exhausted, sleep-deprived brain short-circuits.
The tired, instinctive response that follows is enough to freeze the entire lobby in its tracks, leaving Lucifer dying of embarrassment and Alastor looking entirely too pleased with himself.
Or: The one where the King of Hell has a very specific reaction to a very specific word that reveals exactly what happens behind closed doors in the radio tower.

Holding the bag of green peas, Lucifer’s brain tried to process all the information while his fingers separated the small veggies. So, there was a new pocket dimension in their office. One that Alastor and Charlie had collaborated to create. As a Sinsmas present. And it looked just as the pond he had created in Eden. On top of that, twelve ducks inhabited it now. Real ducks. No demonic. Just… normal. His first creation.
The bag of peas made a ‘thud’ noise as it dropped to the floor. He turned to face Alastor, arms reaching up to grab the sides of his shirt.
“I’m going to kiss you now.”
Just as the warn left his lips, he pulled the sinner down and stretched up to reach his mouth, meeting him half way.

It's Sinsmas time, Lucifer is close to a depressive episode and Alastor considers putting a little bit on effort in his present. After all, it's not like creating a new pocket dimension and gather some earthly ducks is so difficult...
