Summary
Hidden away in a valley entrapped inside a near insurmountable mountain range is the mythical town of Musutafu. The people in it don't know that to the rest of the world they're discussed in late-night tales in the form of legends. But how would they know? No one has entered or exited Musutafu in a very, very long time. Those that do leave, braving the forest, are never heard of again.
Because deep in the pitch-black, ominous woods is a monster of unknown proportions. The citizens of this lonely village do not know what it looks like, or why it targeted them specifically all those generations ago, but they do know why they are kept. Every now and then, sometimes months or sometimes years apart, someone in the town will snap and bend to the silent call the secretive monster emits. In exchange, the forest always provides.
But this can not last forever, can it? As much as his mother believes otherwise, Izuku knows that this can not be eternal. And one day, he's proven right.
The forest beckons to him.

But when Izuku is bestowed with the divine power instead and becomes the living Vessel for the Holy Sword, it forever alters the course of their relationship and the fate of the world as they know it. They will have to confront what it means to be destined, the burden of their ideals, and the cost of protecting the ones they love.
