Summary
In their second lives, Rukia and Byakuya Kuchiki find themselves in the human world, far removed from their past as Soul Reapers in the Soul Society. Both retain vivid memories of their previous lives, though neither understands why, as souls are meant to forget their past upon reincarnation. Separated by fate and unaware of each other’s existence, they live in isolation, each believing they alone carry the weight of their past—until fate brings them together once more.
