He picked up his own spoon, the magical quality of it gone, and started to eat his own ice-cream again, silently mourning the fact that half of it was gone. Then he cleared his throat and ran his slightly numb tongue over his teeth, trying to think of an answer.
“You really think Jade would be with someone who isn’t messed up?”
