He got up more, head turned down to look at his lap, hair falling over his shoulders and hiding his expression from anyone who peered at him from the side. The blanket that had been softly shielding him from the cold bunched around his lap while he also slowly removed the arm that had been hugging him in sweet slumber, lowering them down gently before intertwining their fingers.
Pure Vanilla slept peacefully beside him, slightly parted lips exhaling soft breaths and eyes dutifully closed in rest. His features lulled into a calm that was neither like the bright smile that usually graced his lips nor like a grimace of pain that Truthless Recluse always wore as if it were sewed into his jaw. Neutral. Not molded into any demands. Just being completely open.
