Summary
Five years ago, the barrier appeared, trapping all of Paris with no way to contact the outside world. People with strange powers began to emerge, including Hawkmoth and his followers, and Paris was divided into East Paris, a place of refuge where people worked together to reform society, and West Paris, a place of crime a chaos with Hawkmoth at its center. The only thing keeping the West from taking over the East are heroes.
Marinette is best friends with the East’s most beloved hero, Lady Wifi, with the power to travel through wifi signals and pause her opponents. Marinette doesn’t have a power. But she does what she can to help, staying behind in East Paris to help refugees from the West. Still, she can’t help but feel like she’s missing something. Like there’s something out there calling to her. Or someone.
Adrien loves West Paris. Sure, it’s loud, filled with murderers, and always smells like blood and smoke, but it’s his home. It helps that being the son of Hawk Moth has its perks. But as much as he loves his home with all its parties and energy, he feels himself being tugged toward East Paris. Like there’s something out there calling to him. Or someone.

Summary
Since the dawn of humanity, people have told stories of supernatural beings that walk among us. Those who possess abilities that defy explanation and challenge our very understanding of reality. Our ancestors referred to them as demigods and minor deities, immortals and great heroes. In today's media, they go by terms like cryptids and mutants and superhumans.
All harmless fiction, of course. They don't exist.
Or do they? After all, the stories of heroes have to start from somewhere.
Hidden from the public eye, the clandestine intergovernmental agency known only as the Company also does not exist. It has but one directive: protect the free world from global-scale threats. By any means necessary.
To accomplish such a heroic task, heroes are sometimes needed. Whether they exist or not. Thus, the Company established the Rainbowbridge Protocol.

Now that was an interesting proposal. Mira was no longer embarrassed to admit that she loved it when her girls turned her brain off, let her be theirs without any need to be strong or tough. Her resolve was wavering, but she made one final protest, flushing as she spoke. “It would help, but I’m not really sure that I can… y’know, let go today.”
“Don’t worry, baby. You know we can handle you being bratty if that’s what you need,” Zoey purred from her seat on the bed, sending a shiver through Mira’s body.
