“Are you okay?” Hirose whispered, speaking low enough so only Nakamura could hear.
‘No,’ was his first thought, breathless. In any moment, his legs would give out and he’d fall into a pathetic heap in front of the love of his life.
Wait- yes! He’s more than okay, this is a chance of a lifetime! His future bloodline would be told of this life-changing event, a sacred moment of history meant to be shared with all.
Or perhaps it will be a story of caution. But instead of Icarus, it’s about a socially awkward boy dying from flying too close to gay teenager heaven. Closeting too close to the sun, if you will (literally and figuratively.)
