It’s a fleeting, lovely thing—there and gone so quickly Zagreus feels bereft. “Are you sure?” he whispers, a dangerous edge to his voice. “Do you know what you’re asking for when you plead for me to sate your hunger?”

“Thanatos?” Zagreus’ brow furrows in confusion, and the worry on his face makes the butterflies in Thanatos’ stomach launch a violently militarised assault on his insides. Thanatos suddenly finds himself feeling quite strongly, and entirely against his will, that nothing should ever be permitted to make Zagreus unhappy; he wants to reach out and smooth the lines marring the otherwise flawless expanse of his forehead, wants to lay a soft kiss on the delicate curve of his perfect brow ridge, wants to cradle him gently in loving arms until his expression reverts to its contentedly gormless default.
“I wish I was mortal so that I could kill myself,” Thanatos says, fervently and with great feeling.

Summary
Achilles cannot imagine what this prince from the surface might be like. Raised by Demeter! A young god with his father’s wrath and his mother’s impetuousness, fuelled by his grandmother’s calculated spite. He thinks of the swathes of dead that disembark Charon’s ferry still shivering and huddled together as though their shades could hold warmth.
Perhaps the Zagreus who has grown up with cold eternal is as icy and cruel as Demeter herself. Perhaps he will bring nothing but strife. Olympian history is full of sons overthrowing their fathers, after all.

Styx takes Zagreus’ pieces from Thanatos’ grasp and makes him whole once more. It takes longer than he thinks it ought, for flesh to knit and soul to settle into its place; for the woven multicolored thread of Zagreus’ life to be re-spun, knotted over like scar tissue, and the next first beat of Zagreus’ heart to resound in Thanatos’ breast.

Summary
Stories about Thanatos and Zagreus as they find their way through life. Angst, pining, sweetness and smut with generous helpings of character growth and a side of Greek myth.
I view each story as happening loosely within the same 'universe', so they read well together, but they can also be read as stand-alone fics. I also see them as happening in the same 'universe' as the of war and death series. ^_^

Summary
“You’re so beautiful,” Zagreus whispers as if it’s a confession. He’s breathless with the truth of it. He kisses Than’s jaw before finding his lips. His skin thrills beneath Than’s touch. His heart lurches. “I—Than… you were just so beautiful.”
Speaking it doesn’t ease the pain; his chest feels as if it will crack, sending the love multiplying within him spilling forth, but such sublime suffering it is.
Than gets the recognition he deserves.

The very air around Than seemed to thrum as Zag approached. Than’s whole being quivered. Anticipatory. Tentative. Mere inches from him, Zagreus drew to a careful halt, a tantalizingly vivacious warmth.
There, on the precipice, they regarded each other, hovering close with shallow breaths. Zag searched his face with eager hesitancy, so close his shaky exhales skated across Than’s skin. Than tried to return that honesty, fighting not to shy away from allowing himself that openness. To reassure Zag with his eyes. Bolstered, Zagreus lifted gentle palms to cup Than’s face and rose onto his tiptoes.
(Not me adding to the pile of fics filling in the fade to black scene between Than and Zag, oops.)

When Vash wins two tickets for a swanky Sand Steamer cruise, there's only one person he ever even seriously considers inviting along: Wolfwood. It sounds nice, a whole week of quality time together, no running, no distractions—just two guys, a luxury ship, and a chance to relax. Unfortunately, those 'lucky' tickets come with a catch.
Turns out, the tickets only cover the barest of necessities, and if they want any extras—including booze —they'll have to cough up some serious cash. Cash they do not have.
But hey, looks like the ship offers winners of their newlywed game an across the board upgrade, and it can't be that hard to pretend to be married for some extras. And even if they win, sharing a bed in a fancy honeymoon suite can't end that badly, right?

This was not entirely true.
Thanatos deals with feeling sexual desire for the first time in his life and confronts his complete and total lack of knowledge on this front. Zagreus tries to help, but is mostly baffled that Than has never come, like, ever?

Raised by his mother far away from both Olympus and the Underworld, a strange series of events leads Zagreus to meeting a faceless, nameless Chthonic god.
