No dance AU: Daeron and his milk brother Jacaerys have shared midday naps since they were babes. Even as they grew, their little habit never broke, and although they sleep separately at night, Daeron misses his other half in the dark.
And... maybe it was how clingy he had gotten, or maybe it was in the way he'd stare at him for long periods of time... whatever the reason, Jacaerys seems to have misunderstood his Daeron's sudden want for closeness.
At least, that's what Daeron tells himself at night, when he's struggling to chase sleep, envisioning Jacaerys's arms around himself...

Summary
Before the summer comes to its end, Daeron takes his boyfriend Jacaerys to spend a fortnight at his family’s ancient summer residence; his childhood home that had always been a prison, a living hell instead of a haven.
Upon arrival the Hightower Beacon welcomes them with its green fire ignited, eerily contrasting with the red sky of the dying sun. The green light crawls from their hands and beyond, lighting both of them on its fire.
Something about it feels like an omen of disaster threatening to consume them entirely.
