Many, many typos (usually transposed letters, such as "perfect" instead of "prefect", "solider" in place of "soldier", etc., or missing words altogether), but still good fun and a positive joy to read.

A really well thought out time travel fix-it story (with supplementary short additions) that makes emotional and intellectual sense AND manages to provide most of the things I never realized I wanted to see and feel in a story of Harry meeting his parents and grandparents before his birth.

The legend of a city that sank beneath the sea is found throughout human history, but not even Laura Roslin believed it, until today...

As First Contact situations go, it could have gone better. But with the threat of the Wraith hanging over them the Colonials, Cylons and Tau'ri are just going to have to find a way to get along...

Annoyingly un-proofed in large part (author uses spell-check alone for most chapters, not having an available beta reader, but that just means that the wrong words are spelled correctly, instead of the words the author presumably meant to use which differ by several letters, at least), but still an engrossing tale; Dr. Weir makes peace between the Colonials and the Cylons in time for them to join with Thor and General O'Neill in battling the Wraith before they can take Atlantis.

35 chapters long on fanfiction.net, or 17 much longer chapters in length as a fully archived 2008 copy at Twisting the Hellmouth (without the ads that ff.net inserts so freely now!), but over 70k words in either format.

This is the one where the Colonials think Rodney McKay must be another Cylon model, and Starbuck tortures him at Laura Roslin's orders, leading to the two of them being banned from Atlantis for life after all the shooting's over.

With some help from SG1 and Thor, the Colonials settle on a new planet in the Milky Way, and there's a brief cross with SGA in the last couple of chapters. Here are some of my notes/reviews by chapters:

    1) One of the best lines so far (from Jack, regarding Roslin): "In fact, she reminded him a bit of his seventh grade English teacher." I just KNEW Jack must've had at least one teacher who could instantly see through his bull, and I really like the way you emphasize that one of the things that makes Roslin so formidable is that she's such a TEACHER. Also, the idea of half the kids born to the fleet calling Roslin "grandma" just made me smile.

    4) The comedic pantomime between Kara and Lee as Laura watched their reflections in the viewport of Thor's ship was pure delight.

    5) Ah-ha! The plot thickens! A common source for both the Colonial and old Greek pantheons -- a source so far not identified with any Goa'uld or other aliens -- and somebody ("... or some THING..." as O'Neill would no doubt love to quote, portentiously) seems to have bumped Starbuck and Laura countless FTL jumps off-course?

    6) There were some parts of this chapter that got me a little misty in the eye, and others that just made me THINK.

    7) I always wished that Laura could have gotten the chance to build her cabin, and that sounds like an even better spot than the one she'd had in her sights on New Caprica. There's some good work, also, on describing the PTSD that Laura and Kara have to cope with after 'returning from the dead', and how difficult it is to be around people who love them to pieces but who can't really understand what they've been through and why they can't just act like their old selves again.

    Bookmarker's Notes

    Wonderful work!

I especially like the happy ending/beginning for Adm. Adama and a not-terminally-ill Laura Roslyn, not to mention the wonderful character development/insight on Shakiri (leader of the Minbari warrior caste, who had lost to Delenn and Neroon in his bid to take over all Minbari, but helps plan and lead the rescue of Colonial citizens still on Caprica and other colonies) in the first story, "A Chance Meeting."

And the sequel, "A Changed Future", results in a much more positive and satisfying resolution than in canon for all concerned, both B5 and BSG characters.
